How NSRC handles personal information.
NSRC is responsible for the personal information covered by this notice. Contact us at nsrcteam@gmail.com.
We collect teachers’ names, school details, roles, email addresses and registration information. Schools may provide pupils’ names, year groups, project details and optional school email addresses. We may also collect bursary information and basic security logs.
We use this information to verify registrations, administer entries, organise and judge the conference, communicate with schools, assess bursaries, publish accepted work and protect our systems. We rely on NSRC’s legitimate interests in running and securing the conference, legal obligations where applicable, and consent where required for publication. Required information must be provided for us to process an entry or application.
Information may be accessed by authorised NSRC organisers, relevant judges and suppliers that provide our database, authentication, hosting or payment services. We do not sell personal information.
We retain registration and entry information only as long as needed, normally no more than 12 months after the conference. Financial records may be kept for up to seven years, and published proceedings may be retained as an academic record.
You may ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to its use, or withdraw consent. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
